David Brooks, a widely read and popular political pundit and astute social commentator, will analyze America in the post-Trump era.
David Brooks is a political pundit and cultural commentator who writes for The New York Times. He has worked as a film critic for The Washington Times, a reporter and later op-ed editor for The Wall Street Journal, a senior editor at The Weekly Standard from its inception, a contributing editor at Newsweek and The Atlantic Monthly, and a commentator on NPR and the PBS NewsHour.
Brooks was the editor of the anthology Backward and Upward: The New Conservative Writing (1996) and the author of Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There (2000), On Paradise Drive: How We Live Now (and Always Have) in the Future Tense (2004), The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievement (2011), The Road to Character (2015), and The Second Mountain: The Quest for a Moral Life (2019).
Brooks is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
