The USA: Why Nothing is Working and How to Fix It

Marc J. Dunkelman

Marc J. Dunkelman is a Fellow in Public Policy at Brown University’s A. Alfred Taubman Center for Public Policy and American Institutions. His writing has appeared in the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Politico, and National Affairs, among other publications. Marc’s premise is that America was once a country that could do big things. But today, even while facing a host of pressing challenges, we feel stuck, unable to move the needle. Why? Dunkelman explores what we need to do to break through today’s paralysis and restore, once again, confidence in our democratically elected government to get things done.

Larry Mantle
